AMD detailed its first Zen 6 EPYC Venice chip, the 256-core 9996, at Advancing AI 2026 in San Francisco. The company also introduced the Helios rackscale system, combining MI455X GPUs, Venice CPUs, and Pensando DPUs, with customer Microsoft lined up. Volume production and first rack shipments are slated for late 2026.
