BT Copper Recycling Could Net $2.7 Billion

BT's Openreach unit is replacing its copper network with full-fiber broadband, recovering over 22,000 metric tons of copper so far. With copper prices at record highs above $14,000 per metric ton, the remaining 200,000 metric tons could be worth $2.7 to $2.8 billion. EMR has already paid $134 million upfront.
