Waymo reveals custom 5nm robotaxi chip

Waymo disclosed its robotaxi compute brain, including a custom 5-nanometer ASIC delivering over 1,000 TOPS for front-end processing. The system pairs with suppliers AMD, Micron, Samsung, Sandisk, Socionext, and TSMC. Waymo runs about 4,000 vehicles in over 10 cities, completing roughly 500,000 paid trips weekly.
