V Engineering unveils lighter McLaren P1 battery
V Engineering's Project Continuum battery for the McLaren P1 stores 12.4kWh, nearly triple the original 4.7kWh, and weighs 23kg less. It uses 21700 lithium cells built to FIA Formula E specifications. Customer installations begin in Spring 2027.
