Demis Hassabis is stepping down as Google DeepMind CEO to become chairman and Alphabet chief scientist, with CTO Koray Kavukcuoglu taking over daily operations. Jeff Dean is leaving to co-found Discovery Loop, a public benefit corporation, with Alphabet as founding investor.
