A malvertising campaign on Bing pushed a fake Claude desktop installer hosted on a legitimate Claude.ai domain, delivering SectopRAT malware. At least 29 organizations were compromised between July 21-22. The malicious artifact was downloaded 7,100 times before Anthropic removed it. SectopRAT steals passwords, credit card data, and files.
