Carmack Reacts to id Software Layoffs

Microsoft laid off 136 id Software workers, leaving 49 of the original 185 staff. Co-founder John Carmack said he is saddened but cannot muster anger, suspecting id was a marginal business for Microsoft and that Minecraft revenues carried other studios. He hopes the studio rallies through.
