AI labs buy Mac minis for computer-use agents

OpenAI has purchased tens of thousands of Mac minis and Mac Studios to train computer-use agents for multi-step tasks, while Anthropic rents Mac minis through AWS. Supply constraints from a memory chip shortage have left the most powerful models sold out for months.
