Google is months behind schedule on delivering Gemini 3.5 Pro, its most powerful flagship AI model, as it works to improve coding capabilities. Low morale among staff and departures of key talent, including Gemini co-lead Noam Shazeer and Nobel laureate John Jumper, have slowed releases. Google disputes that morale is denting its models.
