AWS revenue jumps 37% to $42.23 billion

Amazon Web Services generated $42.23 billion in Q2 revenue, up 37% and above the $40.54 billion analyst consensus. AWS operating income hit $16.62 billion with a 36.8% margin. The unit now accounts for nearly 61% of Amazon's total operating profit.
