Anthropic unveils Model Hardware Standard for AI agents

Anthropic opened a research preview of the Model Hardware Standard (MHS), a shared specification letting AI agents discover and operate physical devices like microscopes and robotic arms. Developed with HHMI Janelia Research Campus, MHS cuts lab equipment integration from weeks or months to hours or minutes.
