Microsoft Patches Lazarus Zero-Day in 421-Bug Update

Microsoft's August Patch Tuesday fixed 421 vulnerabilities, including CVE-2026-68820, a WinSock use-after-free zero-day exploited by North Korea's Lazarus Group to deploy the FudModule rootkit. Check Point Research disclosed the flaw, which CISA added to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities database on August 11.
