Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg told staff at an internal town hall that AI agent development has not accelerated as executives expected. Meta laid off about 8,000 employees and reassigned 7,000 to AI groups, including Agent Transformation. Zuckerberg said the new AI-focused structure's upside has not yet come to fruition.
