Ex-SpaceX engineers raise $115M for Mars construction startup

TerraFirma, a two-year-old Austin construction tech startup founded by former SpaceX engineers Noah Schochet and Noah McGuinness, raised $115 million from Kleiner Perkins, Bain Capital Ventures, SpaceX, Anduril, and Hadrian. The company uses Xbox controllers to remotely operate construction equipment and plans to hire 300 employees, build a Texas factory, and a mission control center. Its long-term goal is building infrastructure on Mars.
