Metro 2039 trailer shows stealth gameplay, February 2027 release

4A Games released a new gameplay trailer for Metro 2039 during the Xbox Games Showcase 2026, showing three minutes of in-engine footage. The game launches in February 2027 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X and S. It features a new protagonist, The Stranger, a fully voiced first for the series, and a new stealth weapon called The Shatun. The trailer depicts claustrophobic stealth-action gameplay and a new regime led by Hunter, the Fuhrer.
