OpenAI open-sources Codex Security CLI tool

OpenAI released Codex Security CLI, an open-source tool under Apache 2.0 that automatically finds, confirms, and fixes code vulnerabilities. The tool, previously known as "Aardvark," launched in March 2026 as a research preview and had helped fix over 3,000 critical vulnerabilities by April 2026.
