California drivers sue BP, Walmart over AI gas pricing

California drivers sued six fuel retailers including BP, Walmart, and 7-Eleven, alleging they used Kalibrate's AI pricing software to coordinate petrol prices. The complaint claims the tool raised prices by roughly 30 cents per gallon in areas with high adoption. The suit was filed June 22, 2026 in Sacramento federal court.
