Seventeen publishers, including The New York Times, Ziff Davis, and the Chicago Tribune, filed a motion asking a federal judge to sanction OpenAI for allegedly hiding evidence about how it trains AI models. The motion claims OpenAI chose obstruction by failing to produce datasets and output logs. If granted, OpenAI could face financial penalties.
