Security researcher Nightmare Eclipse published ShieldBreak, a Windows zero-day exploiting a Windows Defender flaw for full system access on Windows 10, 11 25H2, and Server 2025. Microsoft has not patched it. The release follows Microsoft's legal threat over prior disclosures and its RoguePlanet patch bypass.
