NASA launched the LINK spacecraft, built by Katalyst Space Technologies, to rescue the Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory from orbital decay. The three-armed robot launched July 3 on a Pegasus XL rocket from Kwajalein Atoll. LINK will grab Swift and push it from 375 kilometers back to its original 600-kilometer altitude, extending its life by up to a decade.
