CATL unveils 8C battery for light commercial EVs

CATL unveiled the Tectrans II Superfast Charging Edition battery for light commercial EVs, offering 8C peak charging that reaches 80% in 6 minutes 48 seconds. The battery has 50% lower internal resistance than industry average and a 10-year, 1-million-kilometer warranty. CATL plans 4,000 combined fast-charging and battery-swapping stations in 190 Chinese cities by 2026.
