SpaceX to remove xAI turbines by 2027

SpaceX will remove 69 unpermitted gas turbines powering its xAI Colossus data centers near Memphis by July 2027, transitioning to a 1.2 gigawatt natural gas plant. The NAACP and Southern Environmental Law Center have sued over the turbines, which can emit over 2,000 tons of NOx annually.
