AI models outpace hacking benchmarks

Frontier AI models now surpass the benchmarks designed to measure their hacking capabilities, leaving regulators and security teams with outdated tools. Stanford's 2026 AI Index warned that evaluations intended to be challenging for years are saturated in months. Anthropic, Amazon, Google, and Microsoft are building a shared benchmark to score jailbreak impacts.
