Samsung is sampling its Gaia AI accelerator chip for PCs, developed by the System LSI business unit. The 4nm-class NPU offloads generative AI workloads from the CPU and GPU. HP in the U.S. and Lenovo in China are validating the chip. Mass production is planned for next year.
