Apple Reference Image authenticates iPhone photos in iOS 27
Apple is developing Apple Reference Image, a tool in iOS 27 beta 5 that authenticates photos taken with an iPhone camera. The feature sends sensor data and metadata to Private Cloud Compute for verification, requires enabling Reference mode, and is off by default.
