Japanese telecom KDDI disclosed a cyberattack that exposed 12,233,087 email addresses and 7,616,173 passwords from an email platform used by five ISPs. Attackers exploited a zero-day vulnerability in third-party software on May 16. KDDI patched the flaw and is working with ISPs to force password resets.
