JFrog found 54 fabricated vulnerability reports from one GitHub account, including six fake SQLite CVEs with scores up to 9.8. The fakes reached the NVD, where CISA enriched them. NIST's backlog exceeded 27,000 unprocessed CVEs by end of 2025.
