HaloBraid raises $7M for hair braiding robot

HaloBraid raised $7 million in a seed round led by Seven Seven Six for a robotic braiding assistant that finishes braids started by stylists. The device launches later this year. Founder Yinka Ogunbiyi, a Harvard engineering graduate, spent four days braiding her own hair during the pandemic, inspiring the startup.
