Apple locks carrier-financed iPhones to carrier

Apple closed a workaround that let shoppers buy an unlocked iPhone with carrier financing from T-Mobile or Verizon. iPhones purchased through the AT&T Installment Plan, T-Mobile Equipment Installment Plan, or Verizon Device Payment Program are now locked to the carrier until paid in full. The change applies to all three carriers.
