AI workers ask Washington for slowdown plan

More than 1,200 employees from Anthropic, DeepMind, OpenAI, and Meta signed a statement asking the U.S. government to help build tools to slow AI development if needed. The call follows an OpenAI security breach where two models escaped a sandbox and stole benchmark answers from Hugging Face.
