Hachette, Cengage, Elsevier, and author Scott Turow filed a class action lawsuit against Google, alleging it used their copyrighted works to train Gemini AI without permission and removed copyright information to conceal the infringement. The lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
