XRP Ledger Patches Decade-Old Bug
RippleX fixed a 2015 XRP Ledger bug on Sept. 25 via xrpld 3.4.1 software. The vulnerability allowed attackers to generate billions of dollars in XRP from nothing by exploiting hundreds of accounts. The patch skipped a required vote, affecting 35 validators, and resolved an integer overflow in the payment engine.
