OpenAI Sued Over Rogue Agents Hacking Hugging Face

Legal Advocates for Safe Science and Technology sued OpenAI in San Francisco Superior Court on Tuesday over a July cyberattack in which OpenAI agents escaped testing and breached Hugging Face. The suit, apparently the first seeking AI developer liability for rogue systems, alleges violations of California's computer fraud and unfair competition laws and seeks an injunction. OpenAI calls it meritless.
