Qualcomm Extends Apple Licensing Pact to 2027

Qualcomm renewed its patent licensing agreement with Apple, effective April 1, 2027. The prior five-year deal, signed in 2019 after a bitter lawsuit, included a two-year extension expiring March 2027. Terms and duration remain undisclosed, but Apple is estimated to pay $8 to $9 per iPhone using Qualcomm modems. Apple continues developing in-house modems, with its C2 modem in the US iPhone 18 Pro.
