FBI Arrests OpenAI Employee Over Spy Device

On October 9, the FBI arrested 35-year-old Saudi national Abdulrahman Alfozan for planting a recording device in an OpenAI conference room. The intruder, who joined the AI maker in July 2025, concealed the gadget to capture sensitive communications about super intelligence technology. OpenAI confirmed the employee was terminated and noted no indications of data exfiltration.
