DoorDash pays $131.5M to settle NYC pay probe

DoorDash will pay $131.5 million to settle a New York City investigation into underpaid and late-paid delivery workers under the city's 2023 minimum pay law. The deal includes $83 million for couriers waiting between deliveries, $12.3 million for missing or delayed payments, and $16.7 million in fines. DoorDash blamed software bugs and edge cases, and says it has fixed the technical faults.
