Google Plans to Remove RCS Disable Option

Google plans to remove the ability to disable Rich Communication Services for individual contacts in a future app update. Leaked code strings indicate the version is messages.android2026100200RC00. This change means users will only be able to turn off RCS globally across all chats, ending a feature that has been a game-changer for cross-platform messaging with iPhone users.
