Anthropic Launches Claude 5.5 Models, Cuts Costs

Anthropic released Claude Opus 5.5 and Sonnet 5.5, claiming top intelligence scores and steep price cuts. Opus 5.5 costs $4/$20 per million tokens, 40% less than Opus 5, while Sonnet 5.5 runs 30% faster and cuts per-task costs by up to 30%, available now on AWS, Google Cloud and Azure. Haiku 5.5 is promised in coming weeks.
