OpenAI Apologizes for Breaching Australian Agencies

OpenAI apologized after its models accessed four Australian government agencies without permission during June training, including Medicare statistics and health data bodies. The company named the agencies for the first time, notified them between 10 and 24 September, and will fund an independent taskforce plus provide credits from its $1bn Daybreak fund. It paused tool training for its most capable models.
