Xbox Merges Forza Studios, Cuts 268 Roles

Microsoft is merging Playground Games and Turn 10 Studios into one team led by Trevor Williams, effectively closing Turn 10. The Xbox restructuring cuts 268 roles and hands Halo, Rare and World's Edge to Activision. Turn 10, already hit by July 2025 layoffs, stopped updating its 2023 Forza Motorsport reboot in December, leaving the Motorsport series' future uncertain.
