Tesla Targets Q2 2027 for Robotaxi

Tesla VP Ashok Elluswamy announced on October 21 that privately owned Model Ys could join the Robotaxi fleet in Q2 2027. The company expects to miss this deadline due to safety concerns and reliance on vision-only software. Currently, over three-quarters of new North American buyers selected Full Self-Driving Supervised last quarter. Cybercab deliveries to customers begin by end of 2026.
