Microsoft contributes a para-virtualized IOMMU driver for Hyper-V to the Linux kernel, enabling in-kernel DMA protection for assigned devices. The code appears in the next Git branch for Linux 7.4, arriving around the end of December, three years after the original RFC patches from December 2023.
