Intel is enabling DDR5-8000 RDIMM support for select Xeon 6 6700P SKUs starting this August, up from the current DDR5-6400 cap. The company claims a 20% increase in measured memory bandwidth and a 3-6% performance gain across workloads. In Q1 2027, Xeon 6900P processors will support second-generation MRDIMMs, but without higher frequencies.
