India's Income Tax Appellate Tribunal ruled on July 29, 2026 that Rs 4.34 lakh in foreign currency found at a Delhi home belongs to the resident's sister-in-law, a Jet Airways employee who stored it there. The tribunal upheld the CIT(A) decision, reversing its own 2023 order that had taxed the amount as unexplained income.
