Quantum computer learns from errors

Google Quantum AI integrated reinforcement learning with quantum error correction to let a quantum computer adapt to drift during computations. On the Willow processor, RL steering improved logical stability 3.5-fold and reduced logical errors to fewer than one per thousand error correction cycles in the surface code.
