Google will launch a refrigerator-sized satellite this October carrying four Tensor Processing Units, its first orbital test of Project Suncatcher. The chips run only in 15-minute bursts before overheating, and must survive launch loads up to 100 g plus space radiation. SpaceX and Nvidia plan full AI racks in orbit by 2027.
