Researchers at Kinryu Labs discovered a misconfigured Advance Passenger Information System (APIS) database linked to Vietnam on June 3. The exposed Elasticsearch cluster contained over 220 million passenger and crew travel records from 2017 to 2026, including names, passport numbers, and flight details. The database was secured after disclosure, but it remains unknown if the data was copied or abused.
