A Toronto Metropolitan University report found Indigenous workers use AI at nearly twice the rate of non-Indigenous colleagues in some areas. Among 281 First Nations, Metis and Inuit surveyed between March and April 2025, 32 percent were very familiar with workplace AI versus 17 percent, and reported 46 percent productivity gains versus 30 percent.
