SpaceX seeks 100,000 more Starlink satellites

SpaceX has applied to the FCC for permission to launch 100,000 third-generation Starlink satellites. The Gen3 system promises ultra-low-latency multi-gigabit symmetrical broadband, a 100-fold bandwidth increase, and latency below 20 ms. The satellites weigh over 2,000 kilograms and would require Starship or Falcon Heavy launches.
