Nissan plans hybrids and extended-range models as its primary powertrain in the Americas by 2030, with the Rogue hybrid arriving from Japan and Tennessee in 2028. In Britain, a £170M hybrid Kicks takes the Sunderland factory slot promised to an electric Qashqai, which Nissan stopped developing in early 2025.
